While the rest of Australia is successfully suppressing coronavirus infections, Victoria’s infections have continued to rise, causing panic amongst Victorians and chaos at our testing centres.
Daniel Andrews keeps telling Victorians to get tested for the mildest of symptoms, but they can’t.
Before testing centres were even open this morning, the expected wait time to be tested was unacceptably long at over two hours.
People are walking away from being tested because of these unreasonable wait times.
Not only are wait times too long, but Victorians have been left to decipher Labor’s mixed messaging about where they can and can’t go.
Victorians are trying to do the right thing but Labor’s inconsistent messaging leaves too many Victorians guessing about what the actual rules are.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier:
“The chaos and dysfunction in Daniel Andrews’ government has led to them dropping the ball on managing the pandemic.
“We immediately need the testing centres Daniel Andrews has closed to re-open to ensure everyone who needs to be tested, can be tested.
“By Daniel Andrews giving a nod a wink to the 10,000 protestors, he has caused outrage and confusion in the community; Victorians deserve better.”
