Michael O’Brien MP, Member for Malvern, is encouraging local small business owners to take the first step towards making a positive difference to their business through participating in Victoria’s Small Business Festival.
During the month of August the Victorian Government is proud to host Victoria’s Small Business Festival, providing hundreds of low cost, and in some instances free, events in Metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
“The festival is a great opportunity for small business owners to come together to share ideas and attend any of the hundreds of information sessions, workshops and seminars taking place,” Mr O’Brien said.
“The festival aims to assist current and prospective small business owners to gain the know-how and skills needed to transform ideas into reality in starting or growing a business,”
Coordinated by the Victorian Government with strong involvement from industry groups and private organisations, the festival is a once-a-year opportunity to embrace the great contribution made by small businesses to the Victorian economy.
This year’s festival consists of programs and information sessions around business planning and development, financial management and sales, marketing, social media and networking, and many more areas of relevance.
“With a diverse range of thriving small businesses placing an integral aspect of life in Malvern, it is therefore important to provide the best most up-to-date information to assist owners with business growth,” Mr O’Brien said.
Bookings and further information on the festival is available at business.vic.gov.au/festival or by calling Business Victoria on 13 22 15.
